Description

The International Project on Arts and Aesthetics, collaborated with the CRAL (Centre of Research on Arts and Language, belonging both to French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Paris School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS), is glad to announce its 5th Conference to be co-hosted by the Graduate Institute of Musicology and Institute of Taiwanese Literature, National Taiwan University on December 13th-14th, 2019. We invite scholars in all fields to submit proposals that should contribute to the main theme of the conference: “Multiculturality and Materiality in Arts and Aesthetics: Theory and Practice”. We maintain that multiculturality exists long before multiculturalism as a practical term in the so-called “global age”. The term, in our definition, also follows the de-colonial trace, in particular in its engagement with the material basis, as transcultural phenomena. For that matter, we would especially welcome presentations of an inter-disciplinary and/or inter-regional characteristics.
